Dan’s hospital bed saw a lot of action: Cuddling, napping, games, crying, nose bleeds, sleeping (yes, he and I squeezed ourselves together in it one night!) vital checks, eating, and lots of phone conversations.
One of the requirements for him to be discharged was the nurse teaching me how to give him his Lovenox injections. They had me practice on an orange because I missed his early morning shot. The nurses kept warning me that he has tough skin so I really came at him the first time I did it. LOL.
Breakfast back at home. The usual at Carlton Coffee Company.
The wall in our kitchen where I have been putting all of the cards and notes from friends, family, and industry associates. Keep them coming!!! :)
A lazy Friday morning for me, struck down by a bad cold. :( During the extreme landscape makeover, Rocco and I cuddled on the couch while watching The Switch. He loves Jennifer Aniston.
Raine has been enjoying many visitors and playdates. Saturday he had Bailey and Sadie to play with and promptly showed off his toy collection by carrying EVERY toy to his bedroom and piling them all on the floor. (Including emptying every box and bookcase.) Honestly, this looks like what I wish I could do sometimes…Throw a bunch of stuff around and be wild and crazy. I may just do it…Get some plates and glassed at Goodwill and go to town one of these days in the garage.
Raine LOVES all cars, trucks, trains, and airplanes, as well as construction vehicles. He can spot them a mile down the road. So having the construction trucks here for the landscaping project was thrilling for him. The greatest excitement of his life (so far) was getting to drive this digger with Steve. Oh the look on his face! Pure joy.
