Christmas 2019 Recap

It's a difficult time of year with the anniversary of my mother's death in December. Rachel and I spent the evening together and I bought her a beautiful pointsettia (and a gorgeous bouquet for myself!) I didn't visit the cemetary but I plan to soon. Despite grief, there were many moments of joy this season ....

We continue to celebrate Santa as Raine gets older ... As far as we know he still believes! Raine's little elf, Clarence, appeared with a tiny mailbox this year and candy for Raine's advent. Raine asked for money, sports jerseys, and a new basketball hoop for Christmas. He lucked out with all of that and more! Family and friends are so generous with him. He's a very loved and happy kid.

The week of Christmas we had several days of gatherings .... We had Christmas Eve Eve brunch at the farm, Christmas Eve Eve "Friendsmas" at the Bailey's, Christmas Eve dinner and fun with the Karpiak relatives, Christmas morning with the Herzing family, and the day after Christmas dinner with the Hodel/McCaw family!

It was a lot of driving around but worth it to see the smiling faces of friends and family!

Christmas Eve Eve brunch with the Rees and Christensen families in Grand Ridge
Raine had fun playing with the Rees boys, Jack and Ben, on the Rees farm
Raine received an extra-special gift from santa! An Antetokounmpo jersey and TICKETS to a Bucks/Bulls NBA game!

Celebrating at Rachel's with her and Tom, the kids, Grandpa Don, and his friend, Marge
It's all about the booze at Christmas time!

Silly.
Wiped out!

Hoping you had a lovely holiday season, friends!
